It is good to know that there are good people around. In a world filled with war, pain, suffering and negativity, this is a welcome news for many sane folks out there. The headlines : Thai Fisherman saves 2 Norweigian tourists, possibly around 60 years of age, from a certain death!
Apparently, these tourists had wondered to an area that was quicksand while bird watching. In quicksand, the more you struggle, the deeper you sink into it. Without help, these tourists would have gone under. It is not too hard to imagine what would have happened subsequently.
The Thai hero sensed the urgency and acted, walking towards them while they were stuck knee high in mud. He took away their camera apparatus before trying to wince them out of the mud. And then, he did the most incredible thing. He laid down and used his body as a platform for the tourists to step on and crawl on.
By doing so, he reduced the pressure acting on the mud and this enabled the tourists to get away safe and sound.
And this is the kicker. He walked away bowing to them, expecting nothing in return. Is this amazing or what? Scroll to the bottom to watch the video.
